Description

(1985) Those family summer trips to Steamboat Springs, Colorado would sometimes take us this direction… the Eisenhower Tunnel was always an exciting and anticipated landmark. From its high point on 40 Hwy, just south of Winter Park, Colorado, this studio sketch was effective enough for Jim to put it in his Colorado Treasures collection. This was a typical sketch that Jim might take a step further to creating a larger work taking note of the ‘happy accidents’ along the way.
