This special exhibition showcases nearly six decades of evocative snow scenes by one of Kansas City’s most beloved regional watercolorists. From the serene beauty of Loose Park Skaters (1980) to the vibrant streetscapes of Plaza Carriages (1987), Hamil’s works capture his era’s evolving social and environmental landscapes.

A former Hallmark Cards illustrator turned full-time artist, Hamil spent over 50 years painting vivid reflections of Kansas City and beyond. This exhibit honors his enduring legacy and the heartfelt charm of his winter-inspired pieces, offering a window into his masterful technique and the nostalgia of seasonal traditions.
